Grady High School Orchestra
Members of the Grady High School Orchestra have been gracing market shoppers with beautiful music at the farmers market on Saturday mornings. Grady High School’s PTSA lost its main funding source of selling
parking spaces during Piedmont Park events due to the drought. The students are raising money to buy sheet music and to purchase a harp. They will be joining us again at intervals throughout the year. Please enjoy the music and support the orchestra!
Morningside Elementary Farm to School
On October 23rd the Morningside Elementary PTA kicked off its first in a series of monthly farm to school events. Chefs come to the school to talk about and share a local seasonal dish with over a hundred first grade students. Ron Eyester, Executive Chef and part-owner of Food 101 in Morningside, was the first chef in October and prepared a butternut squash soup. It was so good, one student even was taking notes!
